Find the best SEO Keywords for your Charter or Agency Website

Find the perfect SEO Keywords and Optimize your Website

SEO keywords are the basis for successfully optimizing your website for free traffic. If you are not optimizing your website on relevant SEO keywords, you will miss a lot of potential customers and money. But unfortunately it’s not enough to duplicate just a few words and hope to appear on page 1. For this reason, search engine optimization is a long-term strategy that must be implemented continuously. In doing so, who is most important is choosing the right SEO keywords.

What are SEO Keywords?

For example, users enter one or more words into Google and thus find websites that hopefully provide suitable information. Charter companies and travel agencies should use this process to display their website within more relevant SEO keywords. In this way, more and more visitors arrive at the website over time, which usually leads to more sales.

Important is not every SEO keyword is relevant! It is not that difficult to distinguish which keywords are really relevant for your offer. How to achieve this is explained below.

Different Types Of Keywords

SEO keywords differ from each other. In most cases this is done because of their length.

  • Shorttial keywords consist of one word and usually hit the core, e.g. “boat” or “yacht”.
  • Midtail keywords are not rated as an independent category by a lot of SEO experts. Because they lie between Shorttail Keywords and Longtail Keywords. They have between 2 and 3 words, e.g. “rent boats online”, “boat turkey” or “rent a yacht”.
  • Longtail keywords consist of several words (3+) and often contain the true intention of the searcher to perform an action. This is an important finding for all those who work with keywords. Examples are “Rent a boat in Greece online”, “Cheap yachts in Antalya” or “Yacht offers for families in Croatia”.

Research SEO Keywords

With search engines like Google, an intelligent algorithm decides which web pages are considered relevant for a certain SEO keyword. The more relevant the page, the higher it will be displayed in the search results.

First, you should analyze your competition. On which SEO keywords do your direct competitors rank on which positions? You can find this out with the help of well-known SEO tools like SISTRIX, Xovi, Searchmetrics or the Google Keyword Planner (our favorite). So you can see very quickly for which keywords your competitors are placed high in the search. You should not just copy these keywords but look at them carefully. Which ones are exactly right for your offer? These are the particularly relevant keywords. All of them with a high search volume you should choose for yourself. If the competitor is very high or the keyword list is long, then select words for which there is as little competition as possible but a lot of search volume.

Please remember to select only relevant keywords, otherwise you will get visitors who only want to inform themselves or even have searched for something completely different.

In short: Only use SEO keywords that have a high search volume and are directly relevant for users who are interested in your offer.

Another tool to find keywords is There you can not only analyze URLs, but also enter keywords and have similar words displayed as suggestions. In addition, the predicted website hits are displayed for each keyword.

By the way, all these features are completely free!

If you already use Google Analytics, you can check where your traffic comes from and what features your visitors have. On the left side you can see under “Search” and then “Organically” which SEO keywords already lead visitors to your site. Again, you should think before choosing words. Are these SEO keywords really relevant to what I’m offering? If yes, then it is a super keyword.

Similar data is provided by Google Webmaster Tools such as the Google Search Console. There you can see with which SEO keywords you already rank on which positions. Such placements with relevant SEO keywords that are far behind should also be improved by optimization measures.

The whole thing is a constant process, in which you constantly search for new keywords and revise your website. Even if it’s a lot of work, it’s worth the effort!
